NADAC Hoopers Agility – Navigate Your Dog

Similar to agility, a numbered course is completed. However, in Hoopers, the human does not run with the dog but guides them from a designated area using visual and verbal cues. This area is often marked, for example, with a circle. A Hoopers course includes hoops, 1-meter tunnels, barrels, and gates. The goal is to guide your dog smoothly through a distance course. There’s nothing more harmonious than a human and dog working together enthusiastically, becoming one in the course!

Hoopers is not only an excellent activity for your dog but can also significantly improve your overall communication. The joy you’ll experience building these exercises will reflect in your teamwork, helping you tackle even the most challenging courses.

NADAC Hoopers focuses on distance work, teaching the dog to handle increasingly larger distances independently.

Kerstin Zimmermann

Hello, my name is Kerstin Zimmermann. Working with dogs has been a lifelong passion. Since childhood, dogs have shaped my heart and daily life, and today I share my world with three extraordinary companions: Anouk, Jojo, and Pino. With Pino, I also engage in animal-assisted therapy, discovering time and again how dogs can gently support healing processes in people. My dedication to dogs led me to become a certified dog trainer under §11 of the Animal Welfare Act. I continually expand my knowledge, learning new methods and techniques to refine my approach. My goal is to support humans and their dogs in building a strong, trusting bond where both can learn and grow together.
