Your Hosts at Hotel Grimming: The Langreiter Family
The building of Dog Hotel Grimming has been owned by the Langreiter family for 240 years and is deeply rooted in the idyllic village of Rauris.
For the past 15 years, the Langreiter family has been creating all-around perfect holidays for both humans and their dogs – through delicious cuisine, warm hospitality, excellent service, and the occasional cheerful joke.
Michael works his magic in the kitchen, Annemarie is the heart and soul of the house, Viktoria takes care of the guests’ wishes, and Valentina ensures the well-being of both people and dogs.
The moment you enter the hotel and see the dogs Dave, Five, Unique, Joko, and Bixie relaxing behind the reception desk, you immediately know: this is the perfect place for dog owners.

The hotel is run with heart and has been awarded as the best dog hotel in the Salzburger Land. The Langreiter family loves dogs and is happy to welcome nice guests with their four-legged friends in the hotel every day.
Annemarie & Michael with Bixie
Annemarie and Michael are the senior hosts of the hotel. Over 14 years ago, together with their children, they had the idea to transform the hotel into a dog hotel. Dogs have always played an important role in their lives, and the decision to specialize in dogs and their owners has proven to be one of the best choices they have ever made.

Viktoria & Lukas with Joko
Viktoria is the eldest daughter of the family and well known to all guests. She is present throughout the hotel during the day — whether in the restaurant, on the terrace, or at the reception — always with a listening ear for both humans and dogs, and a cheerful remark on her lips. Lukas is a newer member of the family and actively supports Michael in the kitchen. Together, they create the culinary highlights that guests can enjoy throughout the day.

Valentina & Max with Dave, Unique and Five
Valentina, the youngest daughter, is now the junior manager of the dog hotel. She is actively present in the hotel from morning to evening, taking care of both guests and their dogs. Max, who has been part of the family for many years, can be found throughout the hotel, handling all the big and small tasks that come with running a dog hotel. In his free time, he enjoys climbing the peaks of the Rauris Valley. Valentina has been doing agility for 12 years. She started with her first own dog, Aussie Dave, through whom she developed her skills in handling techniques. Since then, she has successfully trained three Border Collies and actively competes at international tournaments. In recent years, Valentina has proudly represented Austria at the European Open, and in 2023, she and her team even secured 3rd place.
