Is there a laundromat in town?
Yes! In the Hotel Alpenrose (opposite the BILLA supermarket), you’ll find two washing machines and two dryers, operated with coin slots. Please bring your own detergent or purchase it on site. Open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Is there a dog toilet near the hotel?
Yes, our new dog toilet is located right next to the tourist information center — practical, clean, and well-lit in the evenings!
Is there a short dog-walking route nearby?
Step outside the hotel, turn right, and follow the path up to the swimming pool — a peaceful walk along the creek, perfect to start your day.
Do any rooms have a bathtub?
All of our rooms are equipped with showers. Due to the historic nature of the building, we are unable to install bathtubs.
Is there a meadow directly at the hotel?
Our DogCenter dog meadow is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel and is open to you at all times. For short walks, there are plenty of options near the hotel, and throughout the village, you’ll find waste bag dispensers and bins provided and maintained by us.
Are dogs required to be on a leash at the hotel?
No, there is no strict leash requirement. Most dogs are on a leash inside the hotel, but well-behaved dogs may move around off-leash, as long as everyone respects the other guest dogs.
Do you have EV charging stations?
Yes, we have two electric car charging stations located on our private hotel parking lot.
Is there parking directly at the hotel?
Yes, our guests have access to a gated parking area directly at the hotel — free of charge. There are also additional parking spaces around the hotel, some located in designated parking zones. Parking is also available directly at the DogCenter.
Do the rooms have minibars?
No minibar is available in the rooms, but you can order drinks anytime in the restaurant, on the terrace, or in the lounge. Of course, you’re welcome to bringdrinks to your room. Fresh water for your dog is always available at the fountain near the entrance.
Are there any ground-floor rooms?
No, all of our rooms are located on the first, second, or third floors and are accessible by stairs. The reception, restaurant, terrace, lounge, and DogsLounge are located on the ground floor.
What are the meal times?
Breakfast buffet: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM, Afternoon coffee & cakes: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, 4-course dinner: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. You’re welcome to bring your dog to all meals or leave them resting in your room.
Are dog towels provided at the entrance and in the rooms?
Yes, fresh towels are always available at the entrance to dry your dog. The DogsLounge also offers towels for drying after showers.
Is there an extra charge for using the DogCenter?
No, the DogCenter is included in your room rate and can be used 24/7.
When is the DogCenter open and do I need a key?
The DogCenter is open around the clock. You will receive an access code at check-in. Tip: early mornings and dinner time are usually the quietest times at the DogCenter.
Is there a toilet at the DogCenter?
Yes, a unisex restroom is available at the DogCenter.
Are drinks included at the DogCenter?
In winter, we offer complimentary tea and mulled wine at the DogCenter. Cold drinks are not included. A small piggy bank is provided at the fridge if you wish to leave a voluntary contribution.
Is there an extra charge for dog food or BARF food?
No, all dog food options are included, just like all other food varieties for your dogs. Simply let us know your preferences when booking, and we’ll take care of the rest. Our house treats are also complimentary.
Do you have an elevator?
Unfortunately, no. Our building is 240 years old, and due to its massive construction, installing an elevator is not possible. Guest rooms are accessible via stairs directly at reception.
